2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft, Christchurch, Wellington, Rotorua, Auckland (RWC Sept 2011) Average easy drinking pale ale that I was extremely glad to be able to access given the Steinlager alternatives.
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is biscuit, caramel malt, bread. Taste is medium sweet, malt, lots of caramel. A pretty average Vienna lager with a stupid name. explosivedog (1612) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 30, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2017 330ml bottle. Pours orange gold. Peach, chalk, orange, veg, bread. Thin body. Really unpleasant. Skarecrow (932) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 12, 2017
Amber pour with OK head.
Aroma is malty, grainy, sulfur and a strong banana/solvent note.
Not much in the way of bitterness to speak of.
Also very solventy.

This is a very mild East India Pale Ale, yet it has evidents zests of the style. This light coloured beer is very drinkable and refreshing with just a touch of hoppiness and bitterness. A all in all good brew. Thomatito (132) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 18, 2017
0,3l bottle. Nose: slightly metallic nothingness. Taste: sweet nothingness. Misleading name. No.

light body, a relatively cheap NZ made beer. Nothing to rave about, but tastes fine after a spot of hard work. A bit of a price pusher, and a long standing Kiwi icon. john44 (3392) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2017
Bottle. Dark Amber in colour. Looks like a pale version of Coca-Cola. Malty; lightly roasted malts, caramel. Unable to detect any hops at all. Sweet Malty throughout. Definitely NOT an IPA; didn’t taste much like beer. Bland. Nondescript. (2009)

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2017 Clear dark, dark orange/brown with thin, foamy white head. Smells of sweet biscuit, caramel malt. Taste is quite sweet too, not as sweet as smell though. Some hops there as well at the end. Very clean and refreshing. Extremely drinkable. East India Pale Ale might be a little misleading, but otherwise a solid brew. tezarak (121) - Lengnau, SWITZERLAND - JAN 28, 2017
cereal, cooked vegetables, red, brown, golden, clear, minimal head, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, User369532 (909) - - JAN 19, 2017
Multiple cans. Bland watery brew lacking any tastes. Aroma is heavy metallic. Nothing resembling IPA at all, it is more like cheap pale lager. Avoid.
