Shain (172) - ISRAEL - SEP 13, 2015
Bottle, 330ml. Pours light golden colored with white head. Scent of light sweet malt and some fruity notes. Tastes quite sour with moderate sweetness. Light hoppy bitterness. Flavors of honey, apple, citrus. Some fruity hops. Pale malt. Slightly earthy and very light smokiness. Nice medium carbonation. I wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s made with whiskey.

Bottle share at Leighton’s, BB Feb 2016, 7%. Dark yellow / pale orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is light with oak, wood, butter and plastic. Body is medium to light, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is sodawater, buttery, biscuit. Just a hint of whisky maybe. Fine I suppose.

thmsboyd (198) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAR 23, 2015
Bottle BBE: April 2016. Chilled. Bright coppery amber body with a small white head. Low intensity nose, principally malty caramel with some doughy character. A touch of butyric, but generally fresh. Hard to detect any whisky on the nose. Heavy, fruity sweetness to taste, with a medium dry bitterness to follow. Some sourness. Quite full-bodied with a chewy texture, average carbonation and a lingering oaky finish. Overall impression is a bog-standard ale improved modestly by barrel aging (or similar). Not bad.

Scopey (14519) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2015
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2016 03/04/16Bottle from Asda Bridge of Don. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, biscuit, grainy, light vanilla, white sugar, honey and some earth. The taste is sweet, sugary, white bread, earth, toasty grain, cereal, sweet whisky twang and honey with a dryish finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I wasn’t expecting much and that’s what I got. Pretty sweet and not depth whatsoever. I would choose I&G over this. 2.5 For real.
03/09/2015 Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours clear pale orange with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, icing sugar, dried apricot, dried mango, booze, vanilla and apple. The taste is crisp, sweet, peach, nectarine, mango, sugar, sweet bread, cake, soda water and wood with a short, dry finish. Light body and average carbonation. Watery and weak. So-so. 2.7, so 2.6 avg.
