COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another addition to the 1488 range - designed to reflect the original character of the beer which was once produced at the brewery sited here.
Tullibardine 1488 Ales are distinctive, their characteristic traits beautifully balanced by a depth and complexity so closely associated with Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This truly remarkable Ale is best drunk chilled, perhaps being chased by a dram of your favourite Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

A malty, somewhat soapy aroma. The flavor is much better than the aroma. A bit too malty, relatively thick, this is a decent scotch.

Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 23, 2009
Bottle. Pours a very nice reddish-brown with a nice, sticky off-white/pale tan head. Nose is toffee and raisin, notes of oak, whiskey, mild hoppiness, dark fruits. palate is good, with that nice sweet oakiness present in the mouth. There is a gaping hole in the palate unfortunately, right as the sweetness fades, but before the bitter and spicy (hops? peat?) finish begins. Feels incomplete.

presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 21, 2009
500ml bottle. BB4 Mar 2010. It looks like they have toned down this monster to a manageable 5.0%. Dark copper. Thin head. Aroma of dark Christmas cake and rum (says whisky on the bottle). Taste is dominated by alcohol and dark fruit. A hint of peat in the finish. Alcohol flavour is much stronger than the ABV although there is not the alcohol warmth.

Bottle at home ... ruby brown ... sweet woody fruity malt little blackcurrent ... slightly smokey woodyness deep fruit base tones ... low carbonation
