I tried several beers here on my first visit and was pleased at how distinct each beer was. They try hard to be true to style and for the most part succeed. Deep nuttiness up front immediately gets your attention and then the beer mellows to a pleasant finish. Not bad at all. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2006
sampler. dark brown/amber. aroma is caramel malts, some toffee, roast. Taste is toasted malt, slighty roasty, chocolate, with a medium bitter finish. well done. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 21, 2005
Tun Tavern Nut Brown Ale-on tap-pours a clear dark brown. Aroma is hazelnut, coffee. Flavor followed the aroma, with it finishing with coffee a little on the bitter side. Not my taste. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2005
On tap at the Tun Tavern in Atlantic City. Poured a medium to darker brown color with a very small sized head. Aromas and tastes of nuts, caramel, and toasted malts. Nice nuttiness to it. freekyp (2235) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 1, 2003
Strong burnt chocolate flavor. Big body. Well balanced with hop bittneress taking a back seat to the big burnt flavor. Woody notes in bitterness.
