Pours a dark chestnut brown color with dark amber edges when held to a light source and almost mostly opaque with slight lighter colored edges when held to a light source. One finer frothy white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing.
Roasted malt aroma with some hazelnut and toast notes but other than that not much sticking out. Kind of bland. The roasted malt presence is promising but there really isn’t much else going on here.
This beer was served way to cold and I had to wait a while for it to warm up. When it did it was still pretty watered down with some nice roasted malt notes. Kind of toasty with some hazelnut and subtle hops but overall preety bland and one dimensional.
