Belle surprise.

[9084-20170314] 473mL can. Chocolatey toasted sweet grains aroma. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Sweet toasted grains flavour has a lingering light burnt note. Medium body. Average. (6/3/6/3/12) 3.0

Toasty malts, light caramel, slight nuttiness, soft pine resin notes. Nice mouth feel, nice carb with a really nice copper pour, and ample off white head. The finish is light to medium bitter, more lightly toasted malts, more soft pine. Nothing too exciting, but we’ll made and a nice afternoon quaff.

2017-03-14. Crisp dark amber brown body, modest beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, toasty accents. Flavour is similar, toasty caramel malt throughout, lightly bitter, lingering bitterness and toasted malt in the finish and aftertaste. Decent. 6/3/6/3/14 Can from the brewery courtesy of Gorbalev.

czar (9503) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 31, 2016
on tap at black tomato, ottawa. unclear copper-orange pour with a small off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. nutty toatiness, their earthy shells, red fruitiness - raspberry purée/seeds; low diacetyl level, hint ofsweetness - earthy stone fruit jam; chalky herbal astringency. moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry fruity-peppery finish. a classic red ale with a slightly buttery english yeast action. o-k.

Metalchopz (3596) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 7, 2016
Can from the brewery. Pours an amber colour with a warm cap, decent retention and good lacing. Aromas are a mix of butterscotch and grassy hops. The taste starts off with some hops, then showing some toasted malts to finish with some hops and yeast. Decent toasted malts, but their typical diacetyl shows up in this one. Still, works for this one and the better one so far after their witbier.

Eructoblaster (4412) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2016
Can - 473ml. Amber body with a good off-white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with grainy hints. Its malty/hoppy taste carries grainy and woody notes. Ends with a dry grainy finish. Not bad.

AleRider78 (1471) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 18, 2016
Picked up a tallboy at the brewery. Pours a fairly big foamy bubbly off-white head and has a clear golden amber appearance. Excessive carbonation. Aromas of toasted and caramel malts. Flavours are mostly sweet malts, caramel, bready malts. Some barley as well as resin hops. Good retention and average mouthfeel.

2.9

Pours reddish brown with a big off white foam. Aroma is light caramel and bready malt with a small hop presence. Taste is tame, easy drinking but a little pedestrian.
