UPDATED: SEP 24, 2012 Bottled 33cl. Sampled at Brasserie Federal, Zürich. It pours a golden beer with a small white head. The nose is of caramel and pineapple. Buttery and very pleasantly hoppy. Some hints of pumpkin and apricot emerging in the taste. Slightly peppery. Decent bitterness. Light bodied. Some corn showing up. Woody. Nice lace. Buttery hoppy finish accompanied by a pleasant bitterness. Rerate: Actually not that bad. Nice hints of licorice, pumpkin, pepper and pear in the taste. Staying with the initial score but changing some points. Aroma from 7 to 6. Appearance: 3 to 4. Definitely a superior swiss lager. The flavor is better than the nose. Very beautiful lacework. omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 6, 2011
Bottled, thanks Bov! Slightly hazy pale golden, small head. Bready malt with slight grassy hops atop. Mid dry with medium body and soft, dense mouthfeel. Mild but incraesing salty grassy bitterness. Nicely drinkable with good depth. Very likable lager! Ungstrup (38387) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2015
Draft. A golden beer with a lazing white head. TBE aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, herbs, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 4, 2011
Milder, nussig hopfiger Antrunk. 9/9/9/10/8/9

cafe in Zurich at approx 7 degrees C. Pours golden yellow with average white head with low retention. Malty aroma with some sweetnes reflected in the malt dominated taste - thankfully balanced with a little hoppiness. Medium body, low carbonation. Malty aftertaste with slight herbal notes perhaps the beer’s best feature. I found it tasty and pleasant though not very interesting
Blond color, generous head. Nice hoppy aroma, probably Saaz. Some malt flavor, but not lasting long, with regular bitterness, not as much good as the aroma. Also the final is too short. Still, above the average Swiss Lager. Nickls (2607) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUL 2, 2010
(Old BA rate - tap) Pours with a generous one finger of pure white frothy foam that holds just OK with some spotty lacing; very clear slightly darker yellow hue with noticeable rising bubbles.
Aroma is very basic, but not offensive. Mild herbal and grassy hop notes; light maltiness. Really not much to report on there. Flavor brings a little more interest and it is slightly more bitter than most Swiss lagers; crackery dryness; fluffier but fairly thing body. Nice vibrant carbonation. No vegetal notes and very clean all around. Actually refreshing, and easily drinkable for the style. Certainly a session lager, and a cut above most in the country. yespr (47545) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2010
From tap. Pours clear golden yellow with a lacing white head. Crisp grassy hops aroma. Mild fruity, crisp grassy bitterness and a good malt backbone. Ends dry and bitter. Crisp and clean. daniele (9660) - ITALY - MAY 25, 2016
