Very good pale ale but not all that Belgiany. I think it’s more of an American pale ale. Regardless, it was pretty damn good!
American Belgian Pale Ales are a bad idea that are almost universally poorly executed - like this.+++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a caramel-bronze color with a medium sized. Creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and vaguely fruity with a bit of vinegar. The flavor was very bitter, dry, chalky and vinegary. The finish was long, tart and vinegary. Medium body. Lacking, really lacking. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Draft. Pours clear, deep copper with thin off-white head; decent retention and some lacing. Aroma is spice, banana, sweet malt, and grassy hops. Flavor is average sweet/caramel malt, average floral hops, and light fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth. Tap. Pours clear amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, fruity esters, grassy hops, pepper, caramel and biscuit malt. Flavor is malt forward with Belgian yeast, fruity esters and a sweet finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation. DiarmaidBHK (5881) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2011
Draft at brewpub. Pours with an orange tint and a thin khaki head. It’s got that Belgian yeast thing going on on the nose. Definite floral notes on the tongue.

Tap. Pours a hazy gold body with a small fizzy white head that retained as a thin film. The nose is very leafy and fresh smelling with a nice delicate bready and crackery maltiness below and a light yeastiness. The flavor is much the same, very light and delicate with just a little leafy hoppiness, minimal bitterness. It really lets the soft maltiness shine. A very well balanced beer. Light bodied and very drinkable, I can hardly believe that this is 5.7%. It tastes like a 4% session BPA. Very nice, if I had a whole evening to drink here, this is the one i’d choose to have a few of.
