Chilled 330ml bottle. Never tried a Kenyan beer before, but there’s a first for everything. Really odd aroma! Smells like tree bark and corn! Pale gold body with some whispy lace. Taste isn’t too bad considering; sweet honey-like malt beginning of a slightly watery body, a tiny hint of leafy hops, and a dry rice/corn finish. Nothing interesting here, but you could do alot worse! kimcgolf (872) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2007
Had never tried a beer from Kenya, so this was wroth it from that standpoint. However, it really was not much different from a BMC nmacro lager, except that it wasn’t quite so heavy on the graqin. Poured a sparkling golen yellow, with some carbonation, a thin head and okay lacing. Some hops in the aroma, but nothing dominant. Likewise with the flavor. Not too much on the mouthfeel or finish.
Kenya is much better known for their long distance runners than for their beer, and Tusker beer illustrates why. detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2007
This beer is straw colored, with a light head of white foam. Little lacing. Mild vegetal aroma. Not a bad tasting beer, a little bit of sweet honeymalt, a little wheat, some kind of lemongrass flavor, and a gentle, floral hop presence. Bottle. Yellow/golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hay. Flavour sweet, fruit, malt and a hint of hop. quite thin. animal8788 (32) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 13, 2007
Pale yellow with very little foam at all. Looks like piss. Smells like Budweiser. Very watery, “It’s like if you cut Bud Light half and half with water,” – Brad. It’s hard to pinpoint any kind of taste at all. Mouthfeel is terrible. Bad beer in every sense.

bottle: Got this one in the annual beer exchange.....pretty typical of beers from hot climates: pale, very drinkable, little character. etc......Pale yellow colour....slight malty finish....nothing to write home about.....probably not worth the risk of drinking a Kenyan product. pinballpete (11) - CANADA - DEC 24, 2006
When this beer first came out it was a very clean distinctive enjoyable beer. However, lately since it has been so mass produced I have found its taste has disappeared. BiochemProf (179) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - DEC 22, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2006 A rather unremarkable mass produced tasting beer. But ... it’s from Kenya. Fin (10824) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2006
Bottle from the Cowley Road (Dodgy Deli). pale golden head that lasted throughout a sweet aroma, much too sweet tasting, soft edges to this and not that great really. jsquire (4564) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - DEC 10, 2006
UPDATED: APR 16, 2008 Straw colored beer out of the bottle with a fizzy white head and a light, sweet citrus nose. On its own, this is not a very interesting beer, with some buscuity malts and lemon mingled with cardboard and an odd metallic quality. It served its purpose as a quenching drink with my chili well enough.
