My first African beer and was not the most pleasant Iím sorry to say. It poured a light yellow, a lot of carbonation, with a white head that was fully diminishing. The aroma almost smelled like apple juice, or at least that is what it reminded me of. It had a little sweetness to the smell, but was all in all a bit confusing. A slight bitterness in the beginning flavor wise, a more or less malty end. The aftertaste was really non-existent and I guess would serve itís purpose in East Africa. It was quite watery and with a very light body. Iím glad to check this beer off my list, it was nice, but just not for me.

Oh My God. This is essence of what I donít want to see in beer as of taste. Hakuna matata? No way!

Pretty average lager without making an everlasting impression. Refreshing and crispy.

Bottle. A- Grains, corn, A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, slightly sweet, slightly creamy. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, light finish. O- Iím just excited to have had an African beer now. Pretty standard pale lager. A touch sweet and shockingly not skunky or off tasting at all. That said, I donít want any more but it was much better than anticipated.

Bottle picked up in Euston. Pours yellow gold with a thin white head. Aroma is really malty with hints of grain and peach. Taste is a malt hit with a little grass and straw on the end. Carbonation is OK. Standard Pale lager.
