From a bottle in an Ethiopean restaurant in Frankfurt. Of course, it is somehow cool to have an African beer in an African place. But then, it's an average Lager, nothing special about it. Drinkable, but with better options available, I would always prefer better brews with good food. No obvious reason to import it.

Bottle. Starts out smooth and clean but suddenly turns bitter and a bit sour as you swallow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Porterhouse, Cov Garden. Hazy floral aroma - more stem than flowers?! Gold. Bubbly white head. Light sweet. Not ovely industrial though. Thin. Light. Bubbly carb. Sour aftertaste. Average lager. At least not too industrail

12 oz, single bottle purchsed from Liquor Outlet in Salem OR. $2.39 Clear, bright yellow colour with a white head..that dissapears but leaves lace. Oh aroma! weird like burnt plastic and paper mache . Taste is not so repellent..sweet honey malts and the slightest touch of lemon hops. Mouth feel Ok for style ..thin yet medium carbonation. Not good but happy to try.

Meermaals gedronken in Afrika. Heerlijke verfrissing bij 40 graden, maar wellicht zal het hier veel minder scoren. Puur als pils scoort hij niet super, maar als dorstlesser des te meer.

Pours a weak and clear golden with a fizzy white head that evaporated almost instantly. I’d say the aroma is neutral in the fact that there is hardly any aroma. A little corn and grain perhaps. The taste is minimal as well. There just isn’t a whole lot going on, but what we do find moves the needle to the positive. Slight floral hops, corn, a touch of honey, and cereal, with the cereal extending into the finish. Light in body, thin in texture, and average in carbonation. I can’t really find anything offensive, its just that this is amazingly bland.

500ml bottle. Pours clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Nose is malt and grain. Flavors are malt, grain, corn, light hops, some sweet notes. Light bodied, smooth, light finish. Very light hops, the malt definitely wins out here. I know some folks who rave about this beer, but they were in Africa when they had. The version here is the usual int’l export lager. Cool label though.
