metal, corny aroma. Metal kind of overwhelming and this was from a bottle. At jiko in animal kingdom lodge at disney. Pale golden. Metallic malt flavor. Ridiculously light and watery. Fail.

GregMooreNH (252) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 15, 2018
Pour very light golden with heavy head. Aroma is light caramel an lactose. Taste is slight bitter hops and faint sweetness. Finish is metallic. Not a good beer.

hauxe (1015) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 12, 2018
Bottle, probably thanks to wombat23. Pours gold with a thin, frothy white head. Aroma has the same artificial sweet notes that a lot of pale lagers carry, a sort of glucose syrupy, corny, grassy mess. Uh, I meant mix. Taste is sweet with a light sourness at the end. Body is medium, carbonation average. Not worth finishing the bottle, but it’s a Kenya tick.

tfontana (1184) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 17, 2017
Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is clear golden yellow with tons of sparkle, 2-finger width creamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is bready malts and light earthy hops, lightly metallic. Taste is biscuit, metallic with almost a cinnamon flavor. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, nice looking but pretty unspectacular otherwise.

Zlotta (4135) - Hagen, GERMANY - DEC 6, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from 'Getränketempel', bottled in April 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a little grassy taste of grains, cardboard and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy, cardboardy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Far from good.

This is a very suspect beer. You just have to check some of the ingredients - sugar and cornstarch. I presume this is done for cost reasons. This leads to a very bizarre tasting beer. It is very unpleasant - the few times I have drank it (very limited beer options in Kenya) - it has been flat, with a very unpleasant aftertaste. Try to avoid pouring also as there is a very artificial luminous colour. The very questionable ingredients leads and unpleasant taste leads to a beer which you should avoid. In addition, restaurant/bars in Kenya will ask you if you want this lager served warm (!). Avoid and order the slightly better Tusker Malt.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2017 0.33 l can brought by Višnja and Goran. Thanks! Shared with Marko and Jurčić. Hazy straw, small to medium off-white head. Fake caramel and cardboard. Corn flakes. Sweet. Light body, moderate to high carbonation. Bad.

Very, very light beer. This one has almost no flavor at all, so does not match the category very well, but is highly drinkable. In warm summer weather, I could see drinking a lot of this beer, but can't rate it highly simply because it does not match the category very well.

Piw (1289) - Rüsselsheim, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2017
500ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Leicht getreidig und malzig. Aromen von Mais. Mild. Leichter Körper.

coil (179) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2017
500ml bottle from The Grumpy Goat, Reading. Light gold colour with white head. Crisp cereal malt, cereal grain, watery sunflower oil, light cardboard. Decent for the style.
