Bottle at The Stanley, Nairobi.
Light yellow with a large white head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy. Flavor light/moderate sweet and light bitter. Light/medium body. They have used the finest malts from around Mt. Kenya. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2008
Bottle (300ml) shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of garthicus. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of grassy hops (saaz?), sweet pale malt and corn. Flavour follows the aroma, is a bit watery and has a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Not bad, if I were somewhere with a poor selection of Lagers and this were available I’d choose it. Bottle (300ml). Shared by garthicus with blankboy. Slightly cloudy gold pour, small white head (3-). Sweet aroma, oil grain, pungent grassy hops. Taste - same, dry, crisp, bitter finish. Thick body, bit of a grassy aftertaste - fairly clean, better than the regular export Tusker - dry and nicely bitter.

12 oz bottle from Kenya courtesy of Garthicus! Thanks Al! MFG 23 Aug 07; Nose of grassy grainwith slightly sweet malt notes; translucent gold with a medium white head; flavor has sweet maltiness mixed with a light to medium bit of hop bitterness that fades in and out, but is definately present. Interesting beer! Not bad for a pale lager. Actually some hops, unlike the BMC pale lagers! Grovlam (4224) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2007
Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, tasting @ yespr] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear flat looking body with a pale yellow colour. Cardboard, grass, grain. Hint of fruit. Light bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavour. Light dry and bitter finish. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 7, 2007
Had this beer on 5/31/2000. Aroma is a light sweet malt scent with a hint of skunk which is most likely from being in a green bottle. Color is a very light yellow with good carbonation and a light head. Taste is sweet and malty. Starting with medium body that goes down with creamy feel. The finish is a sweet malt flavor backed by a light bitterness. It got a common taste, like most Imported lagers. ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - OCT 4, 2007
Lovingly brought back for consumption by my friend and yours, Ando, on his return from Africa, the Dark Continent.
Appearance: Pours clear, yellow body with a thin, thin ring of bubbles.
Smell: Aroma of maize and pale malts. Distinct skunk character. Hint of grassiness. Which, being from Africa, would make it a savannah landscape grassiness.
Taste: Pale maltiness with a bit of sweetness. Light grassiness. An even lighter bitterness. A mild hint of sweetness perks up again on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Bless Ando for sacrificing his time and hard-earned monies to ship himself to Africa for the sake of bringing back beer. He should win a Nobel prize! Or something. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 30, 2007
