BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2016
On the afternoon of Tuesday 17th May 2016 I visited The Tustin Brewery and had one of the most disappointing flights of beer I have ever had. The final beer of the eight in the flight and I was beginning to lose the will to live, surely this beer would lighten my spirits and lift me from the depression of the previous seven beers I had sampled. Yes, it almost did! Dark brown brew with a full tanned head. malts all over the place, semi-burnt malts in fact, giving off chocolate and coffee esters in the nose and mouth. Smooth palate and a decent Porter all round. The best beer by far, but not good enough to tempt me back to the brewery again when I think about what I tried on the day (food was good though).

On tap at the brewery during RBSG 2012. Reddish brown pour. Ashy, cheap chocolate, cigarettes. Over-roasted without the body to keep up. Not feeling this.
