On the afternoon of Tuesday 17th May 2016 I visited The Tustin Brewery and had one of the most disappointing flights of beer I have ever had. Beer number five and I finally get a beer with some proper flavour. This light amber brew had some piney hops in it’s aroma and taste, after the first four beers I thought my senses of smell and taste had left me, thankfully this just confirmed the other beers had been as poor as my notes suggested. Pours amber gold with a white head. Aroma is a bit tropical/grape. Med body. Flavor:citrus/grape/melon with nice caramel. Mild hop burn, but in no way harsh. Excellent. badpuppy69 (321) - orange, California, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Pours a clear gold nice head. Aroma is citrucy dank hops. Slight barnyard funk from dank hops. Taste follows the aroma well with some grapefruit and slight lemon notes. Very nice malt and balance. Very well made. jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - APR 1, 2014
Tap at Tustin Brewing, recommended by the locals, a solid IPA that any local brewpub would be fine to have, nothing amazing though, middle of the road. JohnnyJ (5545) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 4, 2014
On draft at the brewpub. Clear golden pour with a white head. Citrusy hops grapefruit, caramel, sweet malt, and fruitiness. Balanced between malt and hops with a nice flavor. Decent IPA. blipp (9171) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Resinous piney hops, a little citrus, and light malty sweetness. Big and dank and bitter. I actually thought this was a wee bit too dank, to be honest, I found their normal Pale Ale more enjoyable.
