Draft. A golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has strong notes fo hops is it Nelson Sauvin? combined with notes of grapefruit and grass. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, grass, grapefruit, and lovely spices - again I’m reminded of Nelson Sauvin, leading to a dry, spicy, grassy, and bitter finish. Very nice IPA, easy to drink. I enjoyed this one.
On tap at brewery. Pours clear copper wit white head. Aromas of citrus, dank hops, caramel malts, and some pine. Flavors of bitter hops, grapefruit, and caramel malts. Finishes bitter and a little dry. Pretty solid house ipa. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - JUL 17, 2010

Tap a the brewpub. Rating #16. Very dark dense amber pour with a decent off-white head. Aroma was nice citrus and a little pine, juicy as well. Flavor was also piney with a touch more citrus, very nice IPA. (1294)

On tap at Naja’s Place - Redondo Beach, CA BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Appearance: Pours a bright clear copper with a small head.
Aroma: Melon and cat pee.
Taste: Big grapefruity funk and a piney bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and astringent.
Overall: Real good, but I didn’t get any rye notes.
On tap. Brewer said this was nearly two months old, but still tasted pretty fresh to me. Pours with a clear orange body and a long lasting white head with great lace. Aroma of strong orange citrus and light hops. (C-hops and some simcoe). Taste is really nice, herbal, citrus and dank. Fresh smelling. Light caramel. Very nicely attenuated. Creamy carbonation, good bitterness, dry and well made! brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 23, 2010
A: The pour is gold in color with a minimal white head. Perhaps a ring around the top.
S: A decent but not amazing nose on this beer. Grapefruit and a slight pine are the sum of the hop aromas with some caramel malt filling in the rest of the sniff.
T: The flavor is an improvement over the nose. Good grapefruit flavor with a decent array of floral hops as well. There is some definite caramel malt in the middle with a decently bitter finish.
M: Medium in body and maybe a bit light on the carbonation.
D: Perhaps if we weren’t so spoiled in terms of IPAs, I would think this one was better. That said, we are spoiled here in Southern California and this is just a middle of the road (maybe a bit better) example. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 30, 2009
Clear amber color/ beige head. Big pine, grapefruit hop aromas. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. Nice pine and grapefruit hoppy flavors on a solid spicy sweet malt base. good.
