3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Poured a cloudy golden-yellow color with a moderate white head that faded to a ring and left delicate ribbons of lacing. Yeasty, doughy aroma with some citrus fruitiness (orange peel, apricot), moderate peppery spice, a light mineral touch, and some soft earthy dryness. Smooth, lightly tart entry with some soft dusty undertones explodes into a doughy, fruity (orange, soft apricot) middle offset by a moderately peppery, dry earthy hoppiness that lingers into the finish with undertones of soft fruitiness. Moderate carbonation and medium, crisp mouth feel that begs you to drink more. Overall, great take on a witbier from an America brewery: crisp, dry, earthy, and a solid fruitiness. Dig it.
Draft at the source. Clear pale yellow color. Aroma has straw, lemon, light coriander. Taste is peppery and lightly spiced lemon. jewinter22 (3) - Colorado, USA - JAN 20, 2015 does not count
I love this brewery. So chill and Colorado. Whenever I come here, I'm drawn to the Walters White. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 13, 2014
Draft. Cloudy light golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of spice, coriander, dough, citrus, orange, light lemon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Dry and slightly peppery. Medium body, watery turning slightly velvety texture, lively carbonation. Deviates from the classic wit and why not? Nice balance among the spice, citrus, the earthy yeast and doughy wheat. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2014
On tap @ 12 Degree. Pours a hazy light yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma is quite nice. Lemon grass, light funk, a hint of must, lemon zest, and hay. Dry and very flavorful. Light to moderately spicy yeast. Lots of lemon and dry crackers. A bit tart and tangy. Slightly juicy aftertaste. Yeah, I could get fucked up on this. notalush (5910) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - NOV 9, 2013
Hot damn, this is a fine white beer – perfectly attenuated, as I expect from this brewery – dry, tangy approach, followed by a spicy middle, where a light honey sweetness appears momentarily before a dry, peppery, mildly spicy finish, with a fair amount of mineral character – crisp, flinty, grassy, peppery finish – lovely. 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 28, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 Draft at the brewery. Vibrant coriander, rich dough, perfumed lemon with a black pepper spiciness. Lush, creamy, doughy, filling, airy texture, malt and wheat and yeast-driven rather than spice-drive. Medium sweetness, low bitterness, well-balanced with no noticeable flaws. Every facet is well-expressed. Ratman197 (15216) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2013
