500ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Tannic, oaky, vinous aroma, blue grapes, a touch of soy sauce, Madeira sauce, treacle, even some milk chocolate. Taste has a slightly sweet, chocolately, malty basis, hints of sherry, a vinous, tart line, fruity, blue grapes, also a spicy line, Madeira sauce, laurel, dry, tannic, oaky overtones. Rich and complex, well balanced tartness due to the Mild Ale component. nudiebear (354) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 17, 2014
Bottle. Poured opaque dark with a tan head. In the nose I got sourness (citrus), limonade and vanilla. The taste was reminiscent of wine, both sweet and sour and dry tannins. OK yngwie (17101) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle. A dark brown beer topped by a creamy, light tan head of very moderate size. Dried fruits, balsamic vinegar, rum-raisins, some dark malts. The flavor has a littlr roasted touch, with hints of dark chocolate. Rum raisin, balsamic vinegar and dark dried fruits too. Sweetness too. Full body and a soft carbonation, with dried fruits and some balsamic vinegar in the finish. Not really sure about this one. Sure it’s nice as hell, but still. Well, I’ll stick to my score. 140815 Meilby (11525) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2014
