2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a somewhat murky purple with a small white rim on top that leaves low lacing. Nose is offering something I’d almost call blood/meat and reminescent of a recent experience I’ve had with a Croatian beer I can’t recall the name at this time. Couldn’t detect any blueberries. Taste is not quite tart and not too blueberry forward either... Some odd cereals and that same off flavor from the nose. Body is light, carbonation moderate. Meh. A weak fruit beer with what seems to be a fermentation problem.
Edit: The blood/meat faded a little perhaps as it warmed and offered SOME blueberries. Not nearly enough, though. The "tart wheat ale" call is a bit far fetched, too. Meh.
Can - Lots of Berry, could be blue, could be red. Murky reddis with a rich pink head. Like a Berry milkshake, thick and rick. No acidity but no sweetness either. Just not enough to be interesting. beerplace (2436) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 13, 2017
Taster at Darby’s Gastown. Kind of fruit malty drink, not very amazing, but refreshing. fiery1 (1863) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2017
473ml can @ home(thanks Cam). Pours a murky dark plum purple colour with a sizeable pinkish head. Nose is rather light, but I can detect blueberry and lactose. Flavour is also light all around, it drinks like a light blueberry yogurt drink with some wheatyness. It’s not bad, but was hoping to get some more blueberry character out of this. fiulijn (21559) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 2, 2017

Opaque purple color. Very very mild aroma, some jam and some bread. Dry mouthfeel, some flavor of bready malt, very light berry jam, low bitterness.
Very boring. Uninteresting.
I guess this is their first stab at a fruit beer. Purple, not much head. Quite cloudy. On the nose light acidity. On the palate also light acidty, moderate blueberry. It’s pretty yeasty. Nothin wrong with it, but not the most refined fruit beer. mcberko (20514) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 29, 2017
On tap at Twin Sails, pours a dirty dark pinkish purple with a small off-white head. Aroma is fairly subdued given all the fruit that went into this, with notes of lactose upfront and faded blueberry. Flavour is similar, with a wheaty body, light lactose sweetness and subdued blueberry juiciness. Fairly subdued and rather muted - surprising given the amount of berries. Pretty mediocre.
