0,33l bottl at home. BB 02/02/2017. almost black color, quite big coffee-colored head. smells earthy, licorice, spices, light berry notes. light body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ash, licorice, earthy, light caramel. finishes lightly earthy bitter and roasty with notes of licorice and light ash. quite decent, especially considering the low ABV.

Appearance- very dark, pretty much black, no head whatsoever. Aroma- lots of chocolate, dark malts, chocolate milkshake, biscuits, hint of vanilla sweetness. Taste- coffee and chocolate, chocolate and caramel biscuit, burnt toast, undertones of vanilla sweetness. More vanilla and peppery dark fruits (blackcurrant) emerge as it warms. Smoky finish, fairly thin mouthfeel. Not bad, plenty going on for the abv.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown and opaque. Nose - toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste - more of the same with smoke at the back. Palate - the initial note makes you think it is quite full but its very thin in the middle reflecting the ABV. Overall - its alright for the low ABV.

Bottle. Black and came out of the bottle like a gusher. This left a large head that took some time to dissipate. More like a stout than a mild it was quite pleasant to drink. Traces of vanilla mean it is slightly different. But that start really put me off.
