May 2017 - 330ml bottle at home in Richmond watching Eurovision. Croatia for the win! As ’Twisted Barrel Ale The Call of Korriban Black IPA’, 5.2%, BB Aug 2017. Almost black, opaque, foamy light brown head, full lacing. Aroma is cola with some pine and ash. Body is light, tingly carbonation, little foamy. Taste is light restrained pine, floral, sodawater, ashy, some salty tang. Tastes of floral sodawater and some ash. Alright stuff.

Cask at Foleys Tap House, Leeds. A deep brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, some dark chocolate, liquorice, slight coffee, a little blueberry, blackberry, a hint of roasted malts and subtle grassy hops. Taste of dark chocolate, liquorice, some toasted malts, slight blueberry, blackberry, a little pine, a hint of grapefruit and subtle grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A smooth, fruity, slightly spicy, chocolatey bitterness in the finish. Mmm, lots of dark chocolate and fruit, like American pancakes with syrup at one point. Smooth, roasty with a good amount of fruit and hops. Enjoyed this.

Loved this ash coffee roastiness balanced with pine tropical fruits. Black with tan head more roastiness up front than a lot od bipas bottle from beer gonzo thrown in for free which is a nice touch.
