Bottle. Pours murky reddish-brown with average, creamy off-white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is cookie and caramel malts, floral and spicy hops, raisins, plums, and faint woody notes. Flavor bready malts and spicy hops forward (medium bitterness) with some dark fruit esters and light grassy notes; dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body low carbonation. Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a large, frothy light tan head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is cookie and biscuit malt, earthy and spicy hops with dates. On tap at Twisted Pine poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of toasted malt, carmel, earthiness and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toasted malt, toffee, light carmel and light earthiness witha smooth dry bitter lingering toffee finish.
