Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark orange-brown color with a small foamy beige head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was cinnamon, nutmeg and a bit of dough. The flavor was tangy and piney with cinnamon, nutmeg and a sharp boozy and medicinal presence Long pine, cinnamon and medicine finish. Medium body. Medicinal presence grow and really ruins this one. On tap, pours clearish brown color, no head or lacing pretty much. Notes were so much nutmeg and cinnamon it almost becomes peppery. Spicy in mouth and chest. Finishes with spicy wood, pumpkin, and more over the top spice. Not a fan. Ratman197 (14668) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 6, 2012
On tap at Twisted Pine poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, cinnamon, allspice, light grassiness and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, cinnamon, allspice, light pumpkin and a hint of citrus with a smooth lingering spiced finish. Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 4, 2012
Served in a snifter pours a clear reddish copper color. Finger of off white head, diminishes in minutes. Aromas of all-spice and pumpkin. Strong hoppiness up front, then spice notes with some pumpkin. Has a hoppy bitterness that lingers. Moderate carbonation and medium body and a slightly astringent finish. Overall, a pretty good, non-traditional pumpkin beer.
