This is a great stout. Very smooth and creamy on the palate, with a nice balanced burnt malt profile. Loved it.

12oz bottle pours very dark with short lived mocha head. The aroma has dark roasted malts to burnt malts, dark fruity esters, a bit of anise, chocolate malts and earthiness too. The taste is a mix of dark roasted malts moving into burnt malts and coffee. Behind those notes are murmurs of chocolate and molasses. Into the finish it’s pretty much on the burnt malts side. Nice tasting brew and maybe the one I like the most so far from this brewery.

Somewhat rosaty nose with light sweetness as well. Pours dark brown, not much in the way of head or lace. The flavor is roasty up front with a decent lactose sweetness, smooth notes, light dark chocolate notes. Medium light carbonation, smooth, easy to drink.
