One of the better beers, dark and toasty with burnt chocolate and some wooden aftertones. As with the name it’s slightly creamy at the end. Gives a bit of warmth too nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 7, 2011
The aroma is heavily toasted malt with chocolate, coffee, and brown sugar. The appearance is dark brown with a small tan head. The taste is like the aroma except it’s dry and not sweet. The palate is average for the style. Overall I am a little disappointed that it’s so dry. Sammy (12623) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 13, 2011
Enjoyed on tap at the brewery’s tap room. Pure sweetish cream. Black and a decent sweet stout.Roast aroma. DarkElf (3066) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 8, 2011
15-Apr-08 (22-oz bottle: Sampled between rounds while stewarding the 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA) This fairly uniform stout projects semi-sweet dark chocolate and coffee in both the aroma and flavor. Yeasty and earthy notes are also evident in the nose. On the palate, the entry is a bit flat, showing only generic roast, but the chocolate and coffee finish strongly. Roast adds medium bitterness. The medium-full body comes across as a bit watery at times. Dark-brown in color and fairly muddy with a small, tan head. Not bad overall, but a more interesting nose and a better entry on the palate would greatly improve this beer. Atom (2558) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 2, 2011
12oz bottle pours dark brown/black with the most brown head I’ve ever seen. Aroma is chocolate, cherry cough syrup, coffee, licorice, and roasted malts. Taste has an upfront overly sweetness into roasted and chocolate malts and finishes bitter, creamy all the way through. Not bad but not a fan of the immediate sweetness in the taste.

12oz shorty bottle. Sort of a gusher, huge beige head takes a few minutes to settle. Smooth, clean, drinkable, true to style. Medium bodied, with some sweet cocoa chocolate tones. Mild, roasty bitterness. Fresh and all around enjoyable, a perfect session Stout. Well executed. rougeau13 (3158) - Richmond, Texas, USA - OCT 14, 2010
Black and thick with a thick, almost caramel colored head. Aroma and taste are roasty and sweet. Not a bad tasting stout, but much harsher and more heavily carbonated than I prefer from the style. bhensonb (15624) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Bottle from Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate and tar. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is chocolate, burned malt and I think more than a hint of tar. Finishes slightly harsh. Which isn’t a bad thing. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 28, 2010
12oz bottle. Small brown head atop brown-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, coffee, some lactose, light milk chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, some cream, roast, light bittersweet chocolate, sourness. Medium body, lightly sticky. thegreenrooster (4518) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 8, 2010
Pour is a complete black with a small tan head. Aroma is a good dose of roasted malt with a little coffee in the backround. Flavor is likewise. Starts out with a decent roasted malt then leaves a little coffee and burnt grain on the tounge. A decent little stout.
