Opaque black brew with chestnut brown edges and a dark tan head. Resin in the nose, very oily with some burnt sugar and citrus rind. Super bitter and acrid, lots of astringency. Medium body. Not a fan of this style at all. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours an almost-black color with very little head. Floral hoppy notes hit you right off the bat. Smack in the face. Taste has some great floral and citrus notes. Balanced well without being too hoppy. ajnepple (6995) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2013 $4.99, 22oz bottle. Inky black pour with a big, tan head and lots of lacing. Roasty and malty, but not as hoppy as expected. Enjoyable but not a repeat for me. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2012
22oz $7 Dark brown, almost black, looks about standard. Smells like an IPA, not bad, kind of piney and citrus. The taste is not as hoppy as the smell, I was disappointed a little. It tasted like a brown ale and I just really wished the hops from the smell were present in the flavor.
