COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Petite Saison is a beautifully crafted beer brewed in the Belgian farmhouse style. The award-winning ale relies on Pilsener malt and white wheat, gently flattered with German Perle, Czech Saaz and American Willamette hops which add subtle, yet intricate flavoring to the beer. The Belgian yeast headlines the show, lacing palates with the delicate, floral esters for which the style is known. LPS is a smooth sipper with a crisp finish, and at 5.3% ABV skirts the upper range of session territory.

The yeasty notes in this saison make it a natural pairing for a variety of breads, cheeses and salads and it makes for a great backyard barbeque or watching the sun set over the Rocky Mountains.

First released in 2010 as Le Petit Saison, it was reintroduced in 2012 as a summer seasonal under the name La Petite Saison.

Hazy yellow pour, with a rocky white head. Enticing yeasty lemon aroma. Light and spritzy on the tongue. Easy drinking summer ale. Lemon drop candy and a little belgian fukiness. Long fruity and dry finish. I could sip a few of these after mowing the lawn. It wouldn’t stand up to any food match stronger than an undressed salad or a sorbet. But still, a lot of flavor for such a low ABV.

Lightly cloudy yellow. Aroma is floral with light citrus peel and pepper. Light bodied, flavor has a hint of pear as well as what's in the nose. Not too shabby.

12floz bottle, no date, 6.7% ABV, bought as a single in a mix-six for $10. Poured into a tulip glass for consumption 03.27.2017. This beer glows a cloudy yellow beneath a snow white head. Nose is floral with a lemon-pepper funkiness. Lemon juice and black pepper ride an effervescent body that finishes dry. Pretty good overall, in a middle of the road sort of way for the style.

The beer pours clear yellow with a white head. The aroma has some fruit, lemon, saison yeast American style, light dough and mild spice. It has a light crisp body with micro sharp carbonation. The flavor starts pretty bright with fruit, spice, saltiness and light sulfur. The finish has some spicy hops and grass. Pretty good.
