Sampler at Twisted Pine. Appearance: small brown head, deep brown color, ok lacing. Aroma: peanut butter, coffee, chocolate. Palate: creamy texture, full body, lasting peanuty finish. Taste: mild sweet with light bitter on the back. Overall, if you are a fan of peanut butter cups, you should love this beer, pretty well balanced too for a specialty like this. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2014
On tap at the Blue Dog in Chalfont. Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Roasty and chocolate with some earhtiness. really didn’t get much, if any peanut butter (would not have guessed this one was a peanut butter stout). FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Sounded better than it tasted. +++ Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy-foamy brown head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was roasty and woody with notes of peanut and coffee. The flavor was dryish, roasty and a bit woody with brewed coffee, a hint of chocolate and vague nut. Medium length bitter roasty, woody and coffee finish. Medium body. Decent but disappointing. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2013
This poured a darker brown color with a tan head. Aroma was of medium roasted malt, chocolate, and very light peanutbutter. Falvor was similar, a solid nice roasty and flavorful chocolate stout, with mild hints of peanuts.
