This was a very good beer it was blended very smooth between the hops and the malts. I really enjoyed this beer.

Tap at brewery. Slightly transparent black pour, tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, vanilla and oak. Smells great. Taste is oaky, vanilla and chocolate. Light coffee. Appearance is excellent with a thick creamy fluffy light tan head that lasts a long time, plenty of lace and an opaque black brown color. Aroma is dark malt vanilla oak Cocoa citrus and spice. Flavor is like aroma and all of those characteristics blend together in a very pleasing way. Palate is just right. Really an excellent beer not exactly perfect but damn close.

Pours very dark brown with medium tan head out of bottle. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, and slight hint of oak. Sweet malty flavor with very little hint of tequila.

Nose of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and suggestions of vanilla rise from a black hued pour with a large tan ring and minimal lacing. The taste is malt froward - chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, with hints of coffee and vanilla. As it warms it becomes smoother and more enticing. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Cola, earth, malt aroma. Pours very dark red almost black with a thick foamy light tan head that fades slowly leaving lots of foam on the glass. Light bodied. Thin mouthfeel. Earthy. Slightly sweet. Bottle. Pours a very dark brown-black with garnet-brown highlights deep in the glass and a lacy, fine-grained, creamy cinnamon-colored head. Nose is brown sugar, aged tequila, baking chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon. Not as sweet on the tongue as on the nose; there’s a definite agave overtone to the smoky roastiness of the schwarzbier that contrasts nicely. The flavor is complex; most of the nose elements are present in the mouth as well. The finish has more spice; along with the creaminess, there’s a spiked eggnog thing going on. good lord, who puts a schwarzbier into tequila barrels..? .. fuckin asskickers thats who!! .. . pours a deep black .. moderate foam, good lacing .. . deep flavour here, from barrel, to roast etc .. . really enjoyable and very unique .. . .
