(Draught) espresso brown pour with creamy tan head. Nose of graham cracker, toasted coconut, sweet chocolate, chocolate cream, rich, raisins, and a bit herbal. Taste of coconut, tons of oak, chocolate malt, cream, a bit lacking in chocolate flavor from what I expected based on the nose, and somewhat under-carbonated. Light body with an odd medicinal linger.

On tap at the Draught House at the 43rd Anniversary party.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is a mix of lightly roasted malts with just a little bit of cocoa, as well as a little bit of oak and some spice. For a beer that has more than 8 percent alcohol you can’t really detect any in the aroma.
The flavor is where the tequila aging becomes more evident. I get quite a bit of earthiness and oak in the flavor, as well as some of the lightly toasted/roasted malt from the aroma. There is a little bit of spice in the flavor, possibly from the barrel aging. The chocolate from the aroma was not really present in the flavor. The alcohol is well hidden.
Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. mar (5415) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Black with a cream head. Nose is wood, tequilla, light chocolate, and roasted malts. Heavy roasted malts, light tequila, wood, chocolate, and a smooth finishn. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2011
A very dark brown beer, but not black. It has a quickly diminishing, light tan head. The aroma is of sweet black malt, milk and sugar. The taste is of wet barley, dry cocoa and bittering hops. It finishes with a punch and a slight burn. Good? That’s for you to decide. Satisfying?... you’re damn straight. SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - APR 17, 2016
Bottle: Poured marble brown with tan head. Aroma malty. Taste is tangy tequila with malts. drpimento (3639) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Appearance is excellent with a thick creamy fluffy light tan head that lasts a long time, plenty of lace and an opaque black brown color. Aroma is dark malt vanilla oak Cocoa citrus and spice. Flavor is like aroma and all of those characteristics blend together in a very pleasing way. Palate is just right. Really an excellent beer not exactly perfect but damn close.
