COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Evo is a showcase Northwest IPA, hopped with Yakima Valley Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial, then aggressively dry-hopped with Simcoe and Columbus. Deep copper in color, it boasts a deep floral aroma with strong notes of grapefruit and tangerine citrus on the palate.
OG: 1.064 SRM: 16 Malts: Base Malt, Munich, Vienna, Crystals, Carapils Hop varieties: Columbus, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centenniel

Pours a hazy orange somewhat golden brown color and leaves the same color body with a one finger white foamy head that graces the sides of the pint glass nicely in a decent spider web sort of fashion; the aroma is bitter yet somewhat sweet through some floral yet citrusy sort of aromas, how does it combine....hmmm...it actually leaves a bit to be desired; the taste is mainly sweet through floral citrusy tones, but entering in there’s a sort of bitter back end to complement or maybe even balance it to help make it the AIPA it says it is; dry citrus fruity-like aftertaste; just a dry finish; on the palate its about a light to medium, sessionable - hmm...slightly, carbonation seems just a tad smoother than most AIPA’s of what I’ve had, decent for the style; overall, hmmm....wish there was a canning date on this, hmmm....unsure if I’d come back to this, at the moment, I think I’d rather have their session ISA

Bright amber color, with small head. The hop aroma is a bit sweaty, animal, grassy; there is a prelude to biscuity malt. The mouthfeel is lean and dry; malt and caramel flavor, with a strong character of fields, grass, fermented hay, cereals, some biscuits; quite bitter, but without excess; hints of chamomile and mint in the end.
A lot of character for this beer.

Poured copper. White head. Good lacing. Nose of citrus and pine. Medium body. Flavor of tropical fruit with the citrus and pine. Light bitter finish. Quite OK.

Deep cloudy copper color. Sips piney hop and slight caramel. Middle is kind of watery thin. The 70 ibus are well balanced. Nice local ipa.

Thanks to Frank the Tank for sharing this. A: Pours a copper ale with slight haziness. Less than single finger peanut heat of whipped consistency falls to a medium sheet of the same. No lacing. S: Plenty of fruits up front on the nose. Atypical of a NW IPA, IMO, this would appeal to the east coast or great lakes palate (think 2 hearted, not as good, but along the same lines). Apricots, peaches, pineapple, citrus. Not much resin or pine at all. Solid malt backbone, plenty of caramel/vienna profile. T: More bitter up front than I had presumed provided the aromatics. The beer has the early bitterness on the front of the palate that converts into the release of the sweetness of plenty of medium toast malts, some citrus, meaty fruits. Overall, the malt reminds me more of a stronger Red Ale than an IPA. M: Medium body, maybe a hint light. Medium to light carb. Nothing added or taken away in this category. O: Well done. I see why they chose this among their flagship bottled lineup. Just started seeing this on the east side of WA, and I hope it hits the tap handles soon. I think it will do well on the handles in the area. Again, I think the overall picture of the beer is more or less a hybrid Red and IPA. Cool beer. Serving type: bottle 04-08-2011

Bottle - Fresh pine and citrus with a candy malt. Cloudy orange with a big beige head. Pine and resin with a nice well balanced bitterness. Finish is dry and resinous. A decent but average IPA.

Pour is a dark red with a small head. Aroma is of super sweet malt and fresh pine hop. Flavor is malty and sweet at first. Earthy hop flavor follows with more of a syrupy heavy maltyness. Finish is dry and fleeting. Nice start, but lacking in the finish. Average at best IPA. Way too malt heavy and the hops don’t overpower that malty sweetness.

Deep amber pour with a cream head. Nose is doughy malts, lightly bitter, and fresh grapefruit. Easy palate, bitter hops upfront, backed with a chewy malt backbone, and light caramel.

Can- Aromas of citrus,pine, resin, tropical fruit sweetness. Pours a Amber/ orange with a nice dense off white head good lacing. Dry, light bodied, good bitterness, a little malt sweetness, more pine/resin.

Pours a medium burnished amber with golden highlights, a tad bit of haze and a vigilant cream colored head. Aroma is primarily orange citrus, old oranges, grapefruit pith, yet earthy and somewhat herbal and dank, some very subdued piney notes lends itself to the background. Flavors of neutral malt with some medium-light caramel sweetness, good carbonation. Firm bitterness lingers and takes on a bit of a harsh aftertaste reminiscent of grapefruit pith. An above average IPA, but nothing distinctly outstanding.
