Very dark black color. Medium body. Excellent blend of roasted malt and hops. Medium bitterness didn’t upstage the roasted malt! fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2014

Black color with small compact brownish head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, coffee, light ashes, light bread. Lean body, soft mouthfeel, off-dry in the front; nice roasted malt flavor, some dark chocolate. Not too ashy; there is a touch of liquorice; a bit dusty in the final; strong bitterness, with a reasonable share of hop resins.
Nice example, well drinkable.
Bomber. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of roasted malt and hops. Taste is strong, bitter hop notes with grapefruit, citrus, roasted malt, and chocolate with a dry, bitter finish. jjgmd (2181) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Pours a dark black color with a big java head. Nose is malty with some mild hippiness. Taste is hoppy with some pine and resin with some mild chocolate. Finish is bitter sweet, heavy and well balanced. Quaff Score 7 / 10 Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2014
Thanks, Alex! Dark brown, rich chocolatey/fudgey aroma with a splash of coffee. Bittersweet character, lots of bitter chocolate, just a touch of nuttiness and a lingering bitter finish. Really good example.

Nitro draft at the brewery. Thick and creamy pour with roasted malt and coffee. Stands up with a lot of stouts. Very well done. SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - APR 10, 2014
Bottle: Poured a dark black with a thin brown head. Aroma is light hops and huge bold roasted malt. Rugged hops meld transparently with bold roasted malts, slight coffee grounds as well. Duchammer (186) - Eagle river, Alaska, USA - APR 3, 2014
This beer poured a dark brown with a nice healthy tan head. The aroma was was a roasted, fruity, chocolate concoction. I didn’t get much hop aroma. Taste was a sweet malty into a coffee bitterness the a hop biterness. This beer played well with my senses! Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2014
Bomber, 6.8% Virtually hueless deep dark brown, tan foam fades. Aroma of burnt dark roast and c-malt. Bitter darker roast taste, vinous port-ish dark fruitiness, some chocolate, citrus and earthy hop. Average carbonation, fuller bodied, well hopped. Ends toffee malt sweet. Almost black auburn, nearly opaque. Creamy head the color of bamboo. Aromas of cherries and plums, faint coffe and a wisp of smoke? Flavor is sweet coffee, changing to bitter, finish is slightly grapefruit. Where did the fruit go?! Palate is smooth, but not syrupy, carbonation is just right.
