COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Using locally roasted direct-trade espresso and oatmeal malt, the deep chocolate and toastiness of this espresso milk stout’s malt profile is kept open and clean on the palate by the mellow acidity of Brazilian and Ethiopian espresso.

Pours black with thin off white head. Nose is more vanilla and spice than espresso. Taste is rather sweet up front, but a little hop kick comes through toward the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Modestly sweet, excellent espresso note, slightly acrid with some dark chocolate. Mouth is a bit unbalanced. Love the espresso on this but overall it’s just ok.

Keg at Shilling Brewery Co, Glasgow in the company of Nick and Anna 19th May 2017 Pours black with a beige head, milky coffee on the nose, soft mouthfeel, smooth with a good but tempered roastiness. A late glowing warmth from the alcohol, lovely beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

On tap @ Henrik. Looks nice this one. A deep dark brown one with a nice medium sized bubbly and lacing dark beige top. There’s lots of sweetish chocolaty aromas hitting the nose buds. Roasted and a little sweet. Mocha and latte. Smells superb. Oh, it has a strong nutty marzipan sweetness in the taste! Did not expect that based on the nose. More chocolate here. Dip chocolate. It’s thick and oily in the mouth and only soft prickling on the carbonation. Flavorful for sure. A little rum-like almost. Like a rum cake frosting. Like it 12.08.2016

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2016
Keg at Saison, Didsbury. Dark brown shade. Thin tan head. Notes of roasted malt, cola and chocolate brownies. Some red fruits lurking in there too. Doesn’t feel so strong, but the flavours seem sadly muted, especially the coffee.

Black color. Some aroma of burnt paper. Smooth mouthfeel, roasted malts flavor and burnt paper, no coffee qualities.
Decent Stout, unimpressive.

Black with thin head. Has a bittersweet taste. The espresso element is relatively mild.

Great stout. Delicious, tastes like dessert. Very black. Nice dark chocolate flavor. Good texture, melts in your mouth. Slight raspberry flavor.

A pretty good coffee stout. Lots of espresso so its a bit on the bitter side, but the chocolate malts give an otherwise thin beer some sweetness and heft.

Bottle. Aroma is creamy oatmeal and espresso. Tastes super smooth and creamy. Nice sweetened espresso taste with thick creamy chocolate milk. Very enjoyable.
