COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a little tip of the hat to our scientific, pioneering neighbors we created the innovative atom smasher limited run artisan beer. A heft, full-bodied lager reminiscent of Marzen beers from days gone by. However, this beer is aged in our oak foudres to add a complexity unmatched by the imported version of Oktoberfest beers today. Just add Ledersosen!

From a bottle has a slight volatile malt aroma. Strong initially but not as strong as 8% may indicate. But yet, a strong malty thing, not sure if this is marzen or not but its malty fer sure. Getting used to it as the session continues. Decent co2 but not lots. Yes, got used to this one. End is a mid kick in the head.

alobar (3864) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2014
Pours a clear copper color with minimal head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, and hops. Mostly caramel and toasted malt flavor with some hops. Decent beer.

Malty, fairly balanced with a somewhat dry finish. A bit of earthiness and a lingering aftertaste.

Two Brothers Atom Smasher is an Oktoberfest with a twist. Nice orange-copper pour with a fluffy white head. Maybe a slight malty aroma. Taste is surprisely hoppy for this style -- kind of like pale ale meets Oktoberfest. There is a heavy malt on the swallow resulting in somewhat of an aftertaste. Atom Smasher is a nice departure from the typical seasonal fare.

commonmac (1290) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Tap at Busters. Pint glass. Pour leans on amber with minimal head. Aroma is pretty malty with some sugar presence too. Taste is strangely unique for an Oktoberfest. The malt is there along with a nearly rye sweetness. Subtle hops. Enjoy the finish. Surprised a little by the quality of this one. Worth a sample smash this time of year.

bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Medium amber color with a bit of an orange tint/highlight. Fairly clear. I can't get much out of the aroma, but that may have more to do with the glass and environment. Big malty flavor. Any hop character is minimal, a little bitterness in the finish. Solid medium body. I see other reviews mention a touch of a metallic note, and I can get that. Nice malty lager.

OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - OCT 2, 2014
Bottle at home. Nose is oddly sweet, metallic, and synthetic. Malty? Flavors are similarly strange. I get a big sweet chemical taste. Light grassy hops. I don’t know, maybe a bad bottle?

Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 2, 2014
On tap at Tribe’s Alehouse. Pour is hazy amber with a small cream colored head. Aroma and flavor of toasted bread, light caramel, tea leaves, raisin, and wheat. Finish is a bit of spice and caramel malt with a touch of oak.

3.2
Finhead (1783) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2014
Clear, amber pour with a thin off-white head. The aroma is a little earthy, but it has some sugary candy notes. It has a medium body with slick texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with some alcohol in the finish.
