COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a little tip of the hat to our scientific, pioneering neighbors we created the innovative atom smasher limited run artisan beer. A heft, full-bodied lager reminiscent of Marzen beers from days gone by. However, this beer is aged in our oak foudres to add a complexity unmatched by the imported version of Oktoberfest beers today. Just add Ledersosen!

$3.50 cold bottle at Freikoten. Deep amber color with a bit of a hazy, thin head. Note of apple juice when placed within "nose shot." Closer in, I smell the Vienna malt, and an edge of yeast (this is, after all, from their oak foudre). Nice deep malts, tending more toward sweet than hoppy. A note of spice and yeast; likely a few bugs coming in from those wooden aging barrels. Some toasted biscuit and, yes, some roast squash. Yes, an all-around autumn beer!

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a clear amber/copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, light spice, oak, some fruit character especially on the nose, general bitterness to the finish, ok.

Nice balance of simple physics with a touch of pop. No huge hoppy explosion. Not too sweet or sour.

Tap at GABF. Pours a clear orange with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is bready malt, spice, dark fruit. Medium body, rye, bread, light booze finish, decent.

Alewife, Queens tap: pours amber with a white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, and some tree. Taste is kind of sweet. Low hoppiness. Some tree. Alcohol is relatively well covered. Easy drinking but not very memorable.

Malty typical oktoberfest aroma with just a hint of oak. Very pretty amber color with a trace of a white head. The oak comes through more so in the taste and it is a welcome addition. It adds just the right amount of bite to a style that can sometimes come off a bit bland. The palate is superb - silky with more carbonation than most oktoberfest beers I have tried. Very drinkable for the ABV. This is a good offering from 2 Brothers, a brewery that everyone needs to check out.

Two brothers atom smasher  BA Oktoberfest that is a clear orange color with no head. A bit of tannic oak and a prune/apricot stone fruit character. The taste is dry, oaky caramel , molasses and clean. Quite nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’ve really been going after the oktoberfests this season. Fine copper pour very little head. Nose is oak and light caramel. Tastes of old caramel, biscuits, hay, cardboard, herbal, flannel shirt and oak. Dry and slightly boozy but I kind of dig it.

Oak barrel aged October fest. Oak flavor really hits the palate. Pairs nicely with a good cigar. Nice to have 2 but couldn’t drink more than that.
