COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Nice intro to the category - has all the characteristics in moderation. A little farmyard funk, a little wild, spicy yeast, a little sweetness, good body.

(bottle) slightly hazy amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of powdered sugar and peaches, quite oxidized, with a hint of apricots and lots of syrup. flavour is mostly caramelized malts and burnt toffee, rather nondescript, with some notes of earth, ethanol and a light-bitter peppermint finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Clear light brown with almost no head. Aroma is dusty malt, nutty syrup, alcoholic, hints of chocolate. Taste is more or less the same. Harsh and alcoholic. Not smooth. Nope.

Idiosynkrasie (7834) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 13, 2017
355ml bottle. Clear, reddish, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow and minimally toasty malty, slightly fruity aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, hints of plum and cherry, underlying spicy, bready maltiness. Taste is initially slightly sweet caramel and bready malty, minimally toasty, later more fruity, hints of cherry a touch of plum, some red currant in combination with cautious, fruit acidic tartness, a well matching (in no way chalky) mineral touch, mild floral overtones; lasting fruity and slightly bitter hoppy finish. Very clean - nice.

BierMeHoos (644) - Maryland, USA - AUG 14, 2017
Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: 12 ounce bottle. Color is amber with a 2 finger khaki head. Decent retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is malty with a slight floral scent from noble hops. Flavor is on the sweeter maltier side with minimal hops. Not too exciting, but good flavor. Lighter body with nice carbonation. Simple beer that I would like some oak or must in along with the hops. Pretty good, but nothing ridiculous.

Medium caramel color light head/carb. Aromas caramel, hay, slight pumpkin, slight bubblegum. Flavors hay, light caramel, slight maize, light cereal. Medium sweet. slight burnt toasted finish. Just ok.

Hopper8 (225) - Holland, Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2017
It’s a good beer, it’s very easy to drink and it’s enjoyable. Yet, it’s really lacking in complexity and it’s a bit too simple. Really relies on the yeast.
