This was a nice amber color with a warming taste. Some oak and caramel with some hops.

Bottle. Light cinnamon, woody caramel malt aroma. Dark brown with small head. Mildly sweet caramel malt and light peaty flavor. Tangy finish. Light but pretty good.

Bottle and in Imperial pint glass: Mahogany hue with a fading fizzy head and some spotty lace. The aroma has a soapy note which is off-putting along with plenty of crystal and bready malts, some earthy yeast esters along with a bit of grassy noble hops. The taste again displays an off character of old wet bagged malts along with some apple and pear fruitiness, earthy tones, some smoke and light herbal hop bitterness. Pours deep brown with red backlights....fluffy, off-white head.
Scent is earth, malt, caramel.
Taste is a toasted, burnt malt, light smoke.
Cola-like body and tingle.
Slight herbal bitter.
A very nice beer.
