Dark copper/amber color, thin white head that left sticky lacing through out the drink. Grapefruit zest, sweet piney hops, pineapple, carmalized sugars, and sea salt aromas. Truly well balanced in the nose. A smooth and creamy IPA with a high drinkability. Almost perfect in my opinion. Lost a point for a slight bitterness in the finish that just didn’t mesh with the aromas. Still, an excellent IPA and one of my favorite all around beers. sickboy79 (66) - USA - JUL 24, 2010
My favorite Two Brothers brew. Big bold hop flavors. Wonderful citrus and floral notes and a nice hop finish with just the right amount of bite. The Resistance and Bitter end are good - this is better! I wish it was around all year. ChiGuy68 (604) - Illinois, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Tasted from a 12 oz bottle. Poured a dark amber with hearty yellowish brown head and lasting lacing. Strong hop taste and aroma with some malt and caramel. A full bodied IPA. BillieMaria (21) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - FEB 12, 2006
Bottled. Amber colour. Grapey aroma, sweetish candy-like. Grapey flavour with notes if pinetree. Hop chock. Wonderful, well balanced beer. An amazing example of the IPA-style. I´d prefer less malt sweetness though. The bitterness was sensed in the middle of the palate, whilst the citrusy tones spreads freshness. Full body, long finish, soft and enjoyable! tramp55555 (61) - Lisbon, Ohio, USA - NOV 8, 2006
An excellent beer all around, you would be proud to serve this at your next tasting.
The taste? To hell with my opinion, get some and try it. You won’t be sorry.

She pours a nice cloudy burnt orange color and leaves the same colored body with a nice one finger white foamy head that leaves super nice spotty spider web lacing. The way the head dies is enthralling as it lingers a bit, turns lumpy, picks up the pace and then slows down, not sure how else to describe this, but what a show! The body is clear yet there is no carbonation seen rising. The smell has a magical earthy, bitter hoppy and malty, aroma that wants to pierce my olfactory senses but maintains a super nice balance between all. Its practically almost perfect.
The taste brings back the earthy, hoppy, maltiness and gives a good citrus back-up that I really like.
On the palate, she sits about a medium, with a superb creaminess, nothing harsh on the tongue. Though the ABV is fairly high, this is a fairly drinkable IPA.
Overall, for a long time I didn’t like IPA’s and then I learned to distinguish between English and American and thought I liked the English more, this one really changed my mind. fbennett (293) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 23, 2006
This beer is fantastic, it pours a carmalized sugar color. It leaves a thin white lace that not only sticks to the side of the glass but continues almost like the meniscus on a glass of wine. The smell is of citrus, lemon, honey, floural, loads of hop. The taste on the palate is sweet, balanced with the bitterness of the hops. I can really taste the honey as well as a little alcohal on the palate. Overall this beer is great, a fantastic IPA WickerBrew (311) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 14, 2008
Wow I am surprised to see such a low rating for this, I loved it. Maybe its just my love of wet hopped ales talking, but this had some great flavor and smell going on. A nice thick feel to it as well, this leaves the SN Harvest in the dust. JoeMcPhee (9451) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2009
Cask at Ginger Man. Deep amber with a thick sticky white head. The nose is really great. Lots of bright citrus and a lot of zesty floral aromatics. Soft and fruity with a lovely fresh hoppiness. Surprisingly soft and velvety with a gentle grapefruit/mango hoppiness and a very moderate bitterness. There is an excellent soft sweet maltiness that just helps balance the soft resiny fruity hops and some soft creamy mouthfeel. The hops leave a delicious sticky coating of resin on the palate and just invite another mouthful. In this condition, this cask is amazing. Sublime. bhiner41 (193) - Darien, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2010
I love this IPA. Great full hop flavor but not an overpowering after taste. Similiar to Hop Stupid. Amber in color with a very small head. It’s a very balanced wet hop IPA, not too much of one flavor. I happened to stop by the brewery on my lunch hour and the guys were more than happy to let me sample the new brews. Please go see these guys if you are near Warrenville.
