Pour on tap, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of raspberry, dark fruit, toffee, some dark chocolate into a bit of earth, yeast, some red grape, wine notes with a hint of oak. Shared 12.7 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a black/brown hue, with some ruby highlighting, a presentable layer of cream/tan colored head foam, and doily-like lacing. The nose was yeasty subtleties, a bit of roastiness, dark fruit, and some noticeable alcohol. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste exposed notes as concord grape and vinous character that added to the existing esters, tartness, complementary, tannic astringency, and a dry finish. At Avery Sour Ale Fest 2013. Clear black pour with no head. Aroma is kind syrupy yet tart with heavy notes of dark roasty black malts and molasses with a wee bit of earthy java. Flavor is robust and dark with syrupy tones of roastiness and molasses paired with a uniquely tart sourness and lactic fruitiness. Nicely done sour stout. Tap at 4th Annual Boulder SourFest (2013). Pour is murky brown in appearance with a small tan head and decent lacing. Slightly acetic, roasty, raspberry, red wine, green apple, and oaky aroma. Bottle thanks to adnielsen ! Pours a deep burnt umber color with a thick khaki head that sticks around for the life of the beer. The nose is cherry cola, some dark plum and some barrel funk. The palate is berry heavy with some nice cherry cola acid and caramel malt backbone. Bright acidic, funky, dry finish... Damn this is an interesting sour. Well done.

Dark brown body, medium sized tan head, soapy lacing. Vinous and tannic, with some dark fruits and berries, lightly earthy malts. Got this in a recent trade from one of you guys, can’t remeber who but I appreciate it for sure. Dark black-brown color. Interesting smell, clearly wild, a bit of brett and a vinous aroma, not bad. taste was also vinous, slight bit of sour. Overall I thought this was pretty solid. Its not going to rival Russian River or Lost Abbey but its a good start.

Appearance: Dark brown with a medium sized beige head and good lacing
Aroma: Woody, tart fruit and toasted malts
Taste: Toasted malts and tart fruit
Bottle at the blizzard tasting in D’s place. Pours a brown almost tan color with a medium white head. A big nose of barrel, brown malts, molasses. A smooth tart Old Bruin flavor with wood, sawdust, light cherries, molasses and caramel, sweeter in the finish. Good.
