Taster on tap at GTMW. Dark brown red color. Thin khaki head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Dark fruit in the flavor kind of dominates the flavor, some earthy hop, but it’s pretty light. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Alcohol is kind of sweet, heavy, big bodied, but reasonable for the ABV, not too harsh. OK black IPA. A bit malty and sweet. Was hoping for more from this. tmoreau (4365) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Shared 2012 bomber poured to snifters, displaying a black/brown hue, with a presentable layer of tan head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was roasted creaminess, with mocha notes, and a nice, balancing, caramel sweetness. Close to full bodied, the sweetness subsided a bit in the taste, as a solid earthy & citrusy hop bitterness lingered to finish. Maybe mellowed some, but I liked it that way. Very nice! Salmpled at an esbls. Dark brown with some red. It smells like a double IPA. Citrus fruit hops. A big beer. So sweet malts. They lead. Hops are a distant second but bring bitterness and citrus. Good. MrHangover (4554) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle at Dean’s stickiest floor tasting. Pours a black, opaque beer with a thick, creamy brownish head on top. Aroma is roasty, herbal and very juiced on hops. Awesome. Flavor is that great combo of a good black IPA, perfect balance between the bitter, flavorful hops and a nice, roasted, molasses sweetness. Full bodied beer and a heavy, bitter finish. Nice beer! Bottle @ "This time Johan made the floor sticky" tasting. Opaque very dark brown to black color, medium sized beige head that leaves nice lacing. Smell malts, roasted malts, hops. Taste malts, roasted malts, hops, slightly a touch of chocolate and a hint of coffee. Nice bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle at Deano’s monthly tasting, September. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and a little grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a lovely smooth roasted malt, coffee, zesty fruit palate with a lovely bitter finish. Zer0 (1224) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2013
