Tap at Ginger Man. Pours a cloudy amber with a filmy white head. Lightly sweet and herbal aroma. Flavor has mild sweetness to go with faint fruity tartness. Medium in body with average carbonation. Not terrible.

Draught at Rattle ’n Hum, New York
Dark brown color. It’s an average caramel brew, with some residual sugars, and just a very light sourness. Short final. Not what somebody would expect.

Bottle shared at Jimmack’s invitational. Pours clear brown with tannish head. Nose and taste of sweetness, some caramel malts and brown sugars. Not very sour.

A: The pour is reddish brown, but perhaps a bit on the light site. A big light tan head results as well. S: Certainly fruity, but more along the lines of apples and even citrus which seems quite out of place for the style. A bit of tartness and acidity, but nothing really Flanders red about it. T: The flavor is very strange. It’s almost like apple sauce and pennies, which I have never tasted in a beer before. A bit of sweetness and a bit of "tartness", if you can call it that. M: The body is light with a very high, soda-like carbonation. D: This is not at all what I was expecting, nor did I really like it. This just did not really have any characteristics of the style, with the exception of the appearance (to an extent).
