Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a nice dense frothy white head. Sweet juicy malty aroma, super yeasty, a bit soapy, nutty, alcohol burn, lightly fruity. Tangy soapy bitter alcohol flavor, quite hot, yeasty. Long yeasty finish. Medium bodied, sticky sugary, nice fizzy carbonation though. cracklefish (108) - Ohio, USA - JUL 21, 2009
Nose is lemon and sour, soft malt and mild undertones of spice. Pours a deep gold with a white head that dissipated quickly, hazy. Opens with more lemon and acetic acid. Middle is full of malt and barely any spice. Some interesting notes of honey and sweet orange. Finish is fruity with apple orange and lemon. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Super dry. This is enjoyable but it tastes out of balance with too many strong malt and fruit characters and not enough spice. BeerVirgin72 (880) - Pickerington, Ohio, USA - JUL 5, 2009
Bottle shared at Muckfest 2009 in Lancaster Ohio. Cloudy copper pour. Sweet malty and yeasty aroma. Flavor was nice, lemony, honey, citrius, with a slight peppery finish. Very nice. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2009
Thanks to justn on BA for sending this one. Pale orange pour with lively carbonation. The aroma is fairly one-dimensional, a weakish tart apple and a dollop of yeast. Medium bodied, the flavor has a preponderance of the sweet fruit that’s unfortunately too common in American tripels. Finish has a bit of pepper. Overall, quite average. emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2009
Thanks JCB for sharing. Pours a honey gold with a one finger offwhite head. The nose is yeasty, earthy, grainy, some popcorn, not awesome. The flavor is spicy, some tartness, fruity, yeasty, grainy. Grainy palate with mild alcohol.

Rate # 100 Thanks to whomever shared this at the Carolina Crew Gathering! Muddy vibrant orange pour. Fluffy white head. Yeast and spice aroma. Flavor slightly tart with hints of clove, banana, and pepper JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2009
Sampled at the Two Brothers tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 5/21/09. Cloudy/chunky orange-ish copper pour with a medium off-white head. Yeasty and spicy aroma with a bit of tartness. Sweet and sour flavor with plenty of malt and citrus fruit. I liked this one a lot better than I thought I would. Sammy (12610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2009
A good drinker, this is a very yellow beer wih white head, and a significant white head at that. Lacey, sweet yeasty and smooth drinker. WIth pilsner malt you say? Edgy not the most drinkable this holiday, but a nice Belgium. hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - MAY 5, 2009
