Almost like I got a different beer than many of these ratings. The flavor was nicely balanced, with a hint of canteloupe at the beginning and a slight pleasing sourness at the end. Not overly sweet and I really enjoyed it.

Not quite straw and too light for golden, a liquid that is quite yellow and orange in color. A slight haze. Head diminishes rather quickly leaving a ring and thin lid of tiny bubbles. Interesting aromas, with mild attic dust, light fruit and touch of marzipan. It does make your nose work. Does seem very light on the palate with a small bubble lift off the tongue. I must use the word interesting again. Quite dry for a tripel. Some more dust, along with with light citrus, and a honey dryness. Has some sparkling mead qualities. Light spice note mid quaff. Not a lot of malt flavors floating about in this one. more white vinous qualities. It does not fit the triple style that well, but it sure fits the belgian strong category. Hazy gold body. Foamy white head.
Light sour fruit aroma with some light cedar.
Flavor has glue like sour peachy hops. Light tropical belgian spiced malts.
Its pretty good, unusually sour, but not bad. vyvvy (6517) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 13, 2008
Pours hazy orange / gold with a soapy white head. The aroma has sweet malt, light cotton candy / bubblegum, earthy Belgium yeast, some spice and banana. Medium / full rich body with gentle soft carbonation. The flavor starts a bit rich with big malt, earthy yeast and the rest of the aroma traits. The finish is quite phenolic. A decent American version of a tripel. Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - SEP 12, 2008
Pours from the bottle a cloudy golden orange in color with a very small to no head and a small chunks of yeast suspended. Beer has a nich doughy aroma with bananas, cloves and a bit of spiciness to round out the aroma. Flavor has a sweet/sourness to go along with flavor of bananas, spicy clove and a slight cider acidic flavor. The clove and a slight alcohol flavor linger after the beer is down the hatch. Overall, this beer is pretty sweet at times and the alcohol does hit the body pretty nicely. Will definitely get another bottle to age down in the celler.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange. Fruity aroma. Flavors of light bready yeast, apricots, and citrus notes, along with a zingy sourness. Alcohol flavors absent. One of the better examples of the style I’ve tried. Hope to have another some day. Sammy (12336) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2009
A good drinker, this is a very yellow beer wih white head, and a significant white head at that. Lacey, sweet yeasty and smooth drinker. WIth pilsner malt you say? Edgy not the most drinkable this holiday, but a nice Belgium. Dogbrick (13144) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 23, 2009
This beer pours a hazy golden-orange color with a medium thick and foamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, grassy hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of yeast, citrus, hops and malt. The finish is yeasty with mild spice and malt left over. Above average overall. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear deep golden indicative of pilsener malt with a moderate foamy off-white head that leaves some thin soapy lacing. Aroma is slightly sour, citric tart. Bottle had a large quantity of yeast which after stirring clouded the beer and filled it with suspended globules. Flavor is a bit tart, fruity with a hint of sugary sweet. Certainly not a traditional take on a belgian tripel, but I enjoyed it.
