3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2016 At Bigby’s Pour House. Interesting beer, cloudy light gold color. Characteristics of a mildly hopped golden ale but the coconut adds a fruity sweetness. Thankfully the coconut doesn’t add the soapy flavor that some folks who don’t like coconut attribute to the nut. The Serving: Tap
From a can poured in a shaker. Smells strongly of Coconut. Hits you over the head with coconut flavor. Almost like somebody spilled a jug of Hawaiian Tropic in a batch of average golden ale. Flavor is very strong and one note. Not unpleasant, but sort of gimmicky. commonshawn (1256) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 27, 2017
Tap at Sheffields in Chicago during glbtq. Hazy light orange with small white head. Light, slightly sticky with vanilla elements. A bit of a cream ale feel. A bit thin and short. Troupis (251) - - JUN 15, 2017
A perfect sunny day ale. Beautiful bright hue with a subtle enough coconut palate to make it drinkable and refreshing. Not perfect and definitely a first beer on a sunny day. On tap at Craftsman.
Helps that it's 3:30 :-)

Tastes like a bad homebrew. I don't understand the high rating. I dumped it.

Tap. Poured clear golden color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Light to moderate coconut and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet fruit flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable brew. jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2012
22oz bottle, just a basic blonde to me, I really couldnt find the coconut until the very last sip, its just lacking. hoffrobert (178) - Indiana, USA - SEP 22, 2012

22oz bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. Marked as 7.1%ABV and 16.1IBU on the bottle. Pours a cloudy golden colored body with a thin, frothy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet and bready with a light grainy toast, honey, and a light coconut that comes out a bit more as this warms. Flavor is similar. Sweeter and bready malts with a light honey and grainy malt backing. Touches of toast and a light, buttery coconut note as this finishes sweet and bready with a somewhat dry, very light earthy bitterness. Medium length aftertaste following a medium, somewhat creamy body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting golden ale. Fairly bready sweet with a bit of a honey note and the coconut adding a slight creaminess and buttery taste (not diacetyl). This was alright.
