Draft at the NYC craft beer festival. Light easy drinking blonde ale. Almost like a bite de garde. Very good

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear light amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose smells like a pilsner, with corn and grains to it. Taste is old and boring, and reminds me very much of a lager. Not a whole lot to like about this one.

I actually thought this was better than its low score makes it out to be. Nice and light on the tongue with hop and malt that balance out to a nice even brew. Not too malty or hoppy...right in the middle.

Malty aroma. malty flavor. Some hop noticability. Nice for its style. More sweet malty than most golden ales. Good character for a lighter style and great price for a steal $5 sixer.

Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is malty with spice. Taste is bland with medium carbonation and notes of barley and spice. Bitter aftertaste...nothing refreshing about this beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a fair head and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, light malt sweetness and grass. Taste of citrus, bit of malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp and refreshing, has a nice clean feel to it. Enjoyable beer, goes best with a hot day.

Final beer of a Two Brothers haul I pulled in recently (my SW MO craft carrier just got beers in of this IL brewery for the first time). So far, Iíve been happy with the beers. Golden ale is not a "wower" type of style, but it has its place, and I was curious to see if this was a good example of such. Appearance: not bad. Bright gold with sizable, if not long-lasting, head, and average lacing. Aroma: light; earthy hop with minor malt backing. Taste: nothing until mid palate when thereís some grain, but the final notes merge the grain with a nice earthy hop bitterness that lingers for quite a bit. I mean earthy in the best possible way and not the dirty type of earthiness I often find in, say, wheat ales. Great palate, finish, and lingering notes. Definitely one of the better golden ales Iíve had. Itís light, as the style is supposed to be, but also flavorful. Happy with Two Brothers so far. Willing to try more of their stuff.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Brilliant bright golden ale with pure white head. Light aroma. Taste is gentle sweet malt with grass and cereal in the finish. Iím not a huge fan of the style but this is very well executed and very tasty.
