Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of kristina. Pours an opaque black with a vague orangey tint and a small and lacing beige head. Sweet roasty nose. Medium body, sweet vanillaish roast, some chocolate here and a little sulphur. Roasty finish but never really bitter. Has the slightest tart edge. But pleasant. 200312 Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2012
My first ever Schwarzbier. Poured from bomber into Founders snifter.
A: Pours very dark, almost like stout. 1.5 finger dirty pearl head leaving a nice lace as it dissipates.
S: Big barley and malts. Smells like a traditional pilsner. So interesting.
T: Traditional barley with a nice malt backbone. Some hops on the backend as well.
M: Medium bodied with good carbonation. Filmy mouth feel with a great hop lingering taste.
O: This was a very strange beer. I feel like it showed several qualities of a few beers, but in the end it was its own. I enjoyed the taste, but I don’t have anything to compare it to.

22oz bottle 5/12/11 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-46° in Lager Glass-Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of burnt malt, chocolate, and slight smoke. Taste of the same with some caramel and chocolate. This medium to full bodied brew is not bad but I am not a fan of this style. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JUL 21, 2011
From a bottle poured a dark brown color with a small amount of head. Sweet toasted malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

An esbls tasting beer. Mahogany with a tannish head. Rich malt and a bit of smoke. Decent hop bitterness mixes with some molasses. Grass. Smoke at the finish. Despite the lower ABV it is a little hot. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2012

Bottle. Pours a clear brown with a medium creamy beige head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet raisin malt and caramel with sweet finish. Easy to drink a good schwarzbier from Two Brothers. alexsdad06 (10436) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours dark brown with some reddish hints and a small off white head. The aroma is light; roasted malts, herbal, earthy with some tea like qualities. The flavor is roasted malts, light chocolate, hearbal and earthy. Medium bodies. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Black color. Two fingers of cramy tan head. Retention is average and a honeycomb pattern of lacing is left behind.
3.5 S: Clean roastiness, herbal and earthy hops. Grainy with undertones of caramel and chocolate. Good, but could use some more power. Not particularly sweet, but not dry at all.
3.5 T: Taste is more assertive. Big earthy hoppiness, light roast, moderate chocolate, light caramel. More doughy than grainy.
3.5 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Could use a bit more creaminess, but I do like how thick this is.
3.5 D: Good, solid schwarzbier. This one is a lot less dry than most of that I’ve had of the style. Definitely worth a buy if black lagers are your thing.
