COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

Picked up a can as part of a build your own six pack. I really like some of the offerings from this local brewery. However, I find this to be middle of the road. Not much in terms of citrus that comes with the pale ale style. Heavier on the bitterness than most other than pale ales. Not a bad beer, just average.

Hoppy, earthy, grassy. Some light citrus, light malt. Fairly balanced, but a little bitterness comes through. Very drinkable.

On tap at Warrenville brewpub. Bright, light, citrusy, moderately bitter pale ale with very light body and mouthfeel. Refreshing, but unbalanced and just not very likeable.

Deep golden color with a slight haze and a medium white head. Aroma is piney and floral. A bit of citrus with a mild bitterness. Not bad.

Can, de et partage avec Omgrich. BB 02/23/2016. Dore, col fin blanc.

Thanks! 355 ml. can sampled @ Tims Christmas Tasting. BBF 23/02/2016. Golden, little white head. Nose is weird plastic hops, onion, weird herbs, floral, lemon, light sweetness. Taste is bit odd, dry, doughy yeast, plastic onion, floral, plastic grapefruit, weird bitter herbs, white grape. Quite dry body with light powdery yeast. Not bad but the hop profile on this one is a wee odd for me in order to fully get into it.

bottle @ Jungle Jim;s / Eastgate OH --- Nearly clear light amber color, out-of-control white head that finally settles to a frothy 2" cover, clouds of lace. Taste is wheat that balloons into a semi-sweet tropical fruit bubble on the swallow, moving directly to mild hops in the finish. Although not strong, the hops linger long enough to be the "last man standing." Certainly different, but it works well as a palate cleansing brew.

Rated on 7-18-2015 at Three Rivers Beer Review, Fort Wayne, IN. This bottled beer is presented with a very small ivory head that is mostly lasting, transparent yellow body, very little fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is citrus and pine hops, fruity and spicy. This beers flavor is moderately bitter, citrus, pine hops and fruity. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A quaffable APA beer that is easy drinking.
