COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

Can, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a nice hazy pale straw color with a fluffy white head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is hop forward, really grassy with some nice tropical fruit. Simple but very inviting for sure.

The flavor is pretty nice, way over-run by juicy hops with a touch of floral bitterness. Generally its a pretty cool low bitterness/low sweetness pale ale... that said there is a touch of sweetness up front. Other than that its lots of citrus, passion fruit, & melon.

Geeze, this is way way better than the Outlaw stuff.

Smooth clear gold ale with an easy flavor with just a touch of a bitter long finish. Easy to drink.

Better on tap than in the can. On tap--super bright aroma and flavor of citrus, floral, and a bit of grassy hops. A bit of malt balances it out--not a face-twister. Solid pale ale.

12 ounce can. A big fluffy white head. The beer is very clear light golden and has a bit of carbonation floating up. The aroma is full of pineapples and tropical fruit. Just a bit of dry bitterness is tasted first. Grapefruit slowly builds and is dominant but never big. Malts are soft. A tad bit of pepper. Pineapple is tasted late. This beer is a little light on the flavor but what is tasted is nice. Also, I like the low ABV.

12oz bottle. Golden color with white head. Grapefruit aroma and a little earthy. Taste is more earthy and a little watery taste. Not bad.

[Bottle] Darker golden color with a soapy white head. Potent citrus and dank hop aroma is inviting. Tasting notes include citrus, fruit, grass, lemon and floral hops. Milder pale malts round out the flavor. Nicely balanced. A nice brew overall.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a clear bright golden with a respectable fluffy white head. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Sweet pale malt taste with some grapefruit that finishes on the bitter side for a pale ale versus an IPA. Well balanced and refreshing.

Hazy, pale yellow-straw color, with a light tan head. Light citrus notes, some even lighter pine notes, some tropical fruit sweetness. Slightly to moderately bitter, followed by a mellow, round sweetness. Light bodied, very effervescent; lively carbonation along with some acidity. Very clean on the palate. Almost no alcohol. Exceptionally pleasant and drinkable, very well balanced. This would be a great summer session beer.

Clear yellow color, with mild carbonation and decent lacing. Aroma of floral hops, yeasts, toffee sweetness and pale malts. Flavor is roughly the same but with a resiny like aftertaste. Body is light and so is the carbonation. Very drinkable and tasty APA.
