3 liter Jeroboam thanks Vav. Nice oaky pour, sweet and caramally, held up for its age.

Big carmel flavors with fluffy white head and big carbonation. This is my last bottle and is held up great over four years. Sweet but not overly and a big bready finish.

Tasted in 2010 (backlog). Amber in appearance with a large off-white head. aroma is of sugar, grain, yeast and caramel. Taste is of caramel, malt, sugar and wood.

Thanks to Alex for bringing this big burly bruiser of a bottle to DLD to share with seemingly every attendee. Did my part, wrenching my arms pouring a few ounces into a SAVOR snifter. Pours a moderate copper color with a bit of haze. Thin white head and slight lacing. The nose carries through a good amount of oak along with some lightly-toasted bready mild and a very mild caramel sweetness. The flavor falls along similar lines, with some light sweetness and bread. Alcohol was barely noticeable. Light oak and a bit of tannin. Medium body and a slightly-dry finish. Not bad, though the bottle was certainly more memorable than the beer. bottle shared by some nice dude at DLD. thanks! notes of bready toffee, doughy caramel, with a touch of oak. some gummy plum and oaky figs. a bit boozy. big and somewhat onenote. okay in small doses, but drinking a 3 liter of this is just silly.

Wow, didn’t realize it is only 100 bottles, this magnum went around at DLD’11, magnum from 2009. Aroma has notes of toffee, pepper, some slight aged hops with sweet orange and some deep caramel. Taste is boozy, but has notes of toffee, aged hops and pepper, hoppy bitter finish, booze coming through.

Huge bottle in the parking lot during Dark Lord Day. Pours a hazy brown with a medium beiged head. Milky looking. Fuzzy light funk, citrus and apricots. Medium bodied and malty. Light sweet caramel on the finish.
