Van de tap bij Het Arendsnest. Amber/bruin, crèmekleurige schuimkraag, troebel. Aroma en smaak zijn flink moutig/brood/biscuit. Flink gehopt....amerikaanse hops. Prettig biertje.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, hops, toffee, red fruits, touch of tropical fruits and pine, with a slight hint of tobacco. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad Amber with some enjoyable hoppy notes amongst the malts.

Clear amber brown, tall and thick creamy off-white to beige head, recedes slowly with a cone in the middle, good lacing; aroma toasted malts, red fruits, fruit candy, caramel; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, bit salty, hint of retronasal smoke; malty sweetbitter aftertaste, light milk chocolate notes, bit dusty; medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation; interesting red ale but lacks a bit of direction.

33cl bottle. Pours dark reddish brown colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, red fruits, caramel, pine. Taste of dark malt, nuts, caramel, red fruits, medium bitter hops, spruce and pine, some chocolate in the finish, quite nice!

( Two Chefs Red Rocket) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.2% Dark amber colour on the body, with a tall and thick, beige head on top, very good retention. Aroma has rye, caramel, red fruits, marmalade. Taste follows with rye, red fruits, marmalade, light hops, a bit of caramel, nicely bitter finish with some grains. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Nice one.

0.33 l bottle at ’Generator’ (Amsterdam). Clear, very dark red with a medium large, fluffy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and hints of red fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little roasty taste of caramel, nuts, red fruits and some coffee, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little roasty finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

33cl bottle at Katoen, Amsterdam. Hazy amber with a moderate slightly off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitterness with subtle fruity tones. Hops, citrus, red fruits, pine and some spices. Better then I’ve expected.
